It sure has been busy lately! I have been working on a number of things, but have been neglecting to post them (sorry!) I designed another piece for GROW. Below is a trifold brochure that presents all GROW’s programs.

Seeds of GROWth Award Luncheon
After many meetings, phone calls, paper cutting, and hard work – GROW‘s Seeds of GROWth Award Luncheon was a success! There was a large turnout, lunch was delicious, time for networking, and a great presentation of many GROW success stories. I am so privileged to get involved with the team at GROW. It has been the perfect timing for me in my career to work with them. There are so many opportunities growing (no pun intended). I’m so excited to continue down this path and see where it takes me and my business!
Here I am along with the lovely people I shared a table with.

GROW
I have been working with GROW (Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women) on their 5th Annual Seeds of GROWth Luncheon. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know numerous very successful women. Currently, I am working on the event program, table tents, name badges, and below is an ad that ran in the Grand Rapids Business Journal.
Vacation
Last week, I was vacationing at Cowden Lake where my parents rented a cottage. We had a great time. I relaxed, read, and ate a lot! It feels good to be home and back in our routine. I am getting very excited for fall! I love summer but I definitely enjoy each season in Michigan. Here is a snapshot of my husband, son, myself and the pike I caught. :)
Cheers
I have had this wine bag on my sewing to-do list for awhile. I thought it would be perfect for my mother-in-law’s birthday as she loves wine! I used a retired pair of my absolute favorite white jeans and the white polka dot fabric was from an old jacket. I was pretty happy with the end result. I can’t wait to make some more of these.
For she’s a jolly good fellow
My good friend and old co-worker, Jenn Maine, recently got a job in Detroit at Gyro and is moving there soon! I am so happy and excited for her – although I will miss seeing her often. She is very talented and will do great there. As a gift, I made her an owl pillow of course. She is quite the animal lover and it seemed quite fitting. I had been working on this hand stitched felt owl anyway and thought by turning it into a pillow it would be a perfect new apartment gift. Here’s to you Jenn, love ya.
Kikis!
One of the gifts I received for my son was a blanket with ribbons sewed around the edges. Little did I know our son would LOVE this blanket (aka his kiki) and need it with him always. So I decided I needed to make some extras for him for washing days and then thought why not more for gifts! They are really fun to make and here is a glimpse of 2 I have made.
